Arkansas Completes Series Sweep of Louisiana T

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Danny Hamblin and Brady Toops each drove in three runs to help lead the Arkansas Razorbacks to a 13-2 victory over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Sunday and complete a series sweep.
Arkansas (3-0) will host St. John's this Friday in the first of a three-game series at Baum Stadium. First pitch is slated for 2:35 p.m.
Justin White (1-0) earned the win after pitching three innings in relief of starter Clint Brannon. White surrendered only three hits and did not allow a walk. Brannon pitched the first three innings of the game and gave up two runs, both earned, on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
Chris Herron (1-1) took the loss for Louisiana Tech (2-4) after giving up six runs, all earned, on seven hits in two and one-third innings.
The Razorbacks took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Hamblin ripped a two-run homer over the right-center fence. It was Hamblin's first home run of the season and the second home run of the series for the Hogs. Blake Parker scored on the dinger after beginning the inning with a double to left.

Arkansas picked up another run when Scott Hode doubled and moved to third on a single by Devin Day. Day was then picked off at first in a rundown, but Hode scored on the play giving the Hogs a 3-0 lead.
Louisiana Tech got on the scoreboard in the third with back-to-back doubles by Antonio Sabatini and Jeff Walker. Brandon Hudson then singled to put runners on the corners with no outs. The Bulldogs made it a one-run game when Stephen Winters drove in Walker with a fielder's choice to short.
Parker gave the Razorbacks a 4-2 lead with an RBI single through the right side in the third inning. Parker drove in Jake Dugger who singled to open the inning.
With Matt Fry (walk) on third and Parker at first, Clay Goodwin doubled off the right field wall to score Fry and push the lead to 5-2. Following a ground out by Hamblin, Toops walked to load the bases for Hode. On a 3-1 pitch Hode took ball four to walk in a run for a 6-2 lead.
Arkansas extended its lead in the fourth inning after a Louisiana Tech error. With two outs, Goodwin hit a chopper to first who threw to the pitcher, Blake Burns, covering the bag. Burns dropped the ball allowing Fry (walk) to score. Hamblin then singled to plate Parker (walk) for an 8-2 lead.
Toops made it a 9-2 game with a single up the middle that scored Goodwin.
The Razorbacks would tack on four more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning for the final 13-2 margin.
