Hogs Use Depth to Win Double Header

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Razorbacks men's tennis team added two more victories on Sunday to improve to 6-0. They defeated University of Louisiana-Monroe 6-1, and then downed Southwest Missouri St. 7-0.
"We were very tired after our big win against Tulane last week," coach Robert Cox said. "It was great that we came out today and beat two tough teams and played as well as we did. I'm really impressed with our team spirit."
The Hogs dominated ULM and SMS in doubles by winning every match and in singles with 10 different players picking up wins.
"It is amazing for 10 different players to win singles matches in one day. That shows how deep we really are," Cox said.
Tiago Azevedo, Aleksey Bubis and Eduardo Pacheco each chipped in with two victories on the day. Bubis and Pacheco both improved to 5-0 individually on the season.
The Hogs play host to no. 47 ranked University of Tulsa Tuesday night February 12 at 6 p.m. at the Razorback Indoor/Outdoor tennis facilities.
