UA Golfers Move up to Third in Taylor Made; Da


KONA, Hawaii - The Razorback golf team moved their way up to third place on Thursday after the second round of play at the Taylor Made Big Island Classic on the Kings Golf Course in Waikoloa Village in Kona, Hawaii. In the second round Arkansas shot 267 to put themselves at 10 under par.
The Hogs have moved up the ranks quickly since Wednesday after they finished in a three-way tie for 11th after the first round of play with a score of 291 for three over par.
Junior Andrew Dahl continues to lead the Razorback team as he finished tied for second at five under par and a score of 68, for a total score of 137. Both freshman Paul Bradshaw and junior Adam Wing improved their standings after they were tied at 43rd on Wednesday. Bradshaw shot a career-best round of 67 to end the day tied for 14th with a score of 140 and two under par. Wing is tied for 28th after shooting a round of 69 for even par and a two-day score of 142.
Freshman Darren Holder also moved up as he went from 127th for a tie at 60th. Holder shot a career-best round of 63 for three over par and a total score of 145. Senior Nick Beach was disqualified after the second round.
Last year at the Taylor Made Classic Arkansas had one of their best finishes of the year when they tied for third with a final team score of 875. Then junior Beau Galyean was the team's highest finisher when he shot two rounds of 72 and a final round of 73 for a 19th-place finish.
The Razorbacks will conclude the tournament today as they play their third round. After they return from Hawaii they will travel to San Antonio, Texas for the San Antonio Invitational on February 23-25.
