This is the third of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena.
Day 3 (Monday, August 11):
Holly Hankenson
Freshman | DS/OH | 5-9
Decatur, Ind. (Bellmont HS)
Q: What’s the funniest/most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you on a volleyball court?
H. Hankenson: There have been a lot of moments but none of them have been too ridiculous. I’ll probably go with serving the ball under the net.
Q: If you could be on a reality TV show, what would it be?
H. Hankenson: Wipeout, it’s highly entertaining!
Q: If you could teach a class on any topic, what would it be?
H. Hankenson: Either volleyball or conditioning.
Q: If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?
H. Hankenson: A filter for water, a never-ending supply of food and a TV. I probably should have said shelter somewhere in there.
Q: What movie do you know every line of dialogue?
H. Hankenson: The Iron Giant, it’s my favorite movie.
Q: What was your favorite sports team growing up?
H. Hankenson: The Chicago Bears, for sure.
Q: Would you rather go to dinner OR a movie by yourself?
H. Hankenson: Dinner because of the food.
