This is the fourth of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena.

Shelby Harper

Q: On a perfect day, what is your ideal high and low temperature?
Harper: I’m from South Texas so the low would probably have to be 70 degrees and the high temperature would be 85.
Q: Would you rather go to dinner OR a movie by yourself?
Harper: Definitely movie. I feel like going to a movie by yourself is ok because you’re distracted.
Q: What is the most interesting/funny account you follow on Twitter?
Harper: Volleyball Problems, it’s really funny.
Q: If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be?
Harper: The Hills.
Q: What was your favorite sports team growing up?
Harper: Probably the Pistons because my mom is from Detroit.
Q: What movie do you know every line of dialogue?
Harper: It’s a tie between Mean Girls and The Notebook
Q: What’s one thing you have to do before you play?
A: I like to sit by myself somewhere, probably in a dark room, and visualize playing my position so I can see everything I’m supposed to be doing. It has to be silent.
