Bucknam Releases 2015 Men’s @RazorbackTF Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – On Tuesday, the Arkansas men’s track and field team announced its 2015 indoor and outdoor schedule. The 2015 slate features nine home meets, six indoor and three outdoor, and includes the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, which is set for Mar. 13-14.

Arkansas will be at the center of the track and field universe on the weekend of Mar. 13-14, as they will host the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center. This will be the second time in three years that the Razorbacks will host the NCAA Indoor Championships, as they previously hosted in 2013. That year the Razorbacks brought home the program’s 41st NCAA title by defending its home track and winning team’s 20th overall championship in indoor. It was the first national title won by head coach Chris Bucknam at Arkansas.

The Razorbacks will host three meets in January, as they open the 2015 season with back-to-back home meets at the Randal Tyson Track Center. The Arkansas Invitational opens the year on Jan. 9 and the Arkansas-Texas Dual will take place on Jan. 16. After a trip to Lexington, Ky., for the Rod McCravy Memorial on Jan. 23-24, Arkansas returns to Fayetteville for the Razorback Invitational that runs from Jan. 30-31.

Arkansas will open February with a pair of split squad meets as they will participate in both the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville and the Husky Invitation in Seattle, Wash., on Feb. 13-14 and the Arkansas Open and the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind., on Feb. 21.

The Razorbacks will begin their indoor championship season on Feb. 26, as they will participate in the SEC Championships. The three-day event opens on Feb. 26 in Lexington, Ky., and will conclude on Feb. 28.

The indoor season closes out on Mar. 13 with the NCAA Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center. The two-day NCAA Championships will conclude on Mar. 14, where a national champion will be named in Fayetteville.

After a week off, Arkansas will begin the outdoor portion of its schedule by hosting the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Mar. 28. After the Spring Invitational, the Razorbacks will make the first of four trips to the West Coast during the outdoor season as they will participate in the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif., on April 3-4.

Arkansas will host its second meet of the season on April 11 with the McDonnell Invitational. They will then go on the road for back-to-back meets by traveling to Walnut, Calif., for the Mt. San Antonio College Relays on April 16-18 and then to Des Moines, Iowa to participate in the prestigious Drake Relays on April 23-25.

The Razorbacks will conclude their 2015 home schedule on May 1 with the Arkansas Twilight before heading to Stanford for the second time during the season to run in the Payton Jordan Invitational on May. 3.

The Razorbacks will begin the outdoor championship season on May 14 with the SEC Championships at Starkville, Miss. The SEC Championships will run through May 17.

After a week off, Arkansas will travel to Austin, Texas to compete in the NCAA West Regionals on May 28-30. The NCAA season will conclude in Eugene, Ore., with the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The four-day event begins on June 10 and runs through June 13.
