In the second drive of the second quarter, Arkansas (4-4, 0-4 SEC) marched 86 yards to UAB’s (4-4, 2-2 C-USA) six yard line, where it stalled on a third and goal. The Razorbacks deployed placekicker Adam McFain for a field goal, but instead, Tretola stepped under center. The 6-5, 350 lbs. junior took the snap and found long snapper Alan D’Appollonio from six yards out. The score was Tretola’s first career toss and touchdown pass, and D’Appollonio’s second career touchdown

Both Tretola and junior quarterback Brandon Allen recorded one passing touchdown a piece in the first half. On the day, Allen tallied 205 passing yards, his third consecutive 200-plus passing game, and completed 15-of-24 passes.

In the first half of the game, the Arkansas offense was perfect on all five drives with junior running back Jonathan Williams punching in two of the five scores. The rest of Arkansas’ scoring efforts on the day were shared by sophomore running back Alex Collins, junior fullback Kody Walker, tight end Jeremy Sprinkle and D’Appollonio with one touchdown apiece.

The stifling Razorback defense was led by senior linebacker Martrell Spaight with nine total tackles, one for a loss and one pass broken up. Senior Tevin Mitchel snagged his first interception of the season while sophomore corner back Jared Collins registered his first career sack.

The Razorbacks will next travel to Starkville, Mississippi to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 6 or 6:15 p.m. on ESPN or ESPN2.
