WSJ: Reynolds’ Versatility Can Help Mets In Long Run

NEW YORK - Matt Reynolds is the best left fielder in Mets history.

Reynolds has never made a single error playing left. His 1.000 fielding percentage is tied for the best all time.

Now it’s probably worth mentioning that Wednesday was Reynolds’s first time ever playing a professional game in the outfield. Even in the minors, he never played there. Then all Reynolds did was hit the game-winning home run in the sixth inning, a solo shot to right and his first career long ball, lifting the Mets to a 4-3 victory.
