HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Arkansas women’s golf team underwent a better round on Tuesday at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, but still sit in a tie for 15th with a 36-over 604 (307-297). Arkansas is four strokes behind 14th-place Kentucky. Kajal Mistry led the Razorbacks on day two, earning a 1-over 72 in the second round.
Mistry had just two bogeys within the first nine holes but finished out the back nine with pars on every hole. The senior added a birdie on hole 16 and moved up 19 spots on the leaderboard to now sit in a tie for 44th out of 90 golfers with a 7-over 149 (77-72).
Miriam Ayora bounced back in round two to tally a 2-over 73. She logged three birdies and 10 pars. Now sitting in a tie for 63rd with a 10-over 152 (79-73). Kendall Todd was the third lowest scoring golfer on Tuesday with a 4-over 75. She registered one birdie and 13 pars. Todd now is in a tie for 54th with an 8-over 150 (75-75).
Meghan Royal logged was 7-over par today, now sitting in a tie for 75th with a 12-over 154 (76-78). Giovanna Fernandez is in a tie for 80th on the leaderboard, tallying a 77 in round two. She has a 15-over 157 (80-77) through two rounds.
