FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback Reuben Reina produced a career best of 3:36.48 for third place in the 1,500m as the Arkansas Twilight meet record and John McDonnell facility record were bettered by Oklahoma State’s Fouad Messaoudi with a winning time of 3:34.34.
In chasing the world standard of 3:33.00 for the 2025 World Championships, Messaoudi became the No. 10 performer on the all-time collegiate list. He broke the 1988 facility record of 3:35.84 set by Razorback Joe Falcon, and topped the meet record of 3:39.07 Messaoudi set in 2022.
Reina moves to No. 7 on the UA all-time list with his performance as he bettered his previous best of 3:38.83 set at the Bryan Clay Invitational a few weeks earlier.
