JUNIOR (2007): Katy Henry was the go-to pitcher the last two seasons for the Lady Razorbacks. In 51 appearances in 2007, she had 15 wins, including seven shutouts. Henry recorded a strikeout (224) in almost every inning pitched (230.1). She had the second-most strikeouts in a season and is fourth on the career list with 567. Henry is second in most strikeouts per seven innings with 6.63 and sits in the top five of 19 different Arkansas pitching records.
SOPHOMORE (2006): Henry led the team in every pitching category and wrote her name all over the school pitching records as a sophomore. She recorded 15 wins, doubling her wins from the 2005 season. In 218.1 innings pitched, she tallied 219 strikeouts, putting her third in the record books for most strikeouts in a season. Henry had the second-most saves in an individual season with 4. In 2006, she started 29 games, pitching 18 complete games. Henry dropped her ERA more than a point from 3.74 in 2005 to 2.44 in 2006.
FRESHMAN (2005): In her first season as a Lady'Back, Henry made quite an impact in the circle. She led the team in most pitching categories, including 124 strikeouts and seven wins. Against Louisiana-Monroe, Feb. 26, Henry recorded 15 strikeouts, a mark that ranks second in the school record books. She started 24 games with 11 complete games. In nearly 150 innings, Henry held teams such as No. 16 Florida and No. 13 Georgia to two and one-run games, respectively.
AT POTEAU: Henry joined the Lady'Backs as a right-handed pitcher after a successful campaign with the Poteau High School Pirates. She finished her career with 100 wins and 1,185 strikeouts. As a senior, Henry had a 35-4 record, a 0.36 ERA, and 382 strikeouts. Henry broke six school records in her career, including strikeouts, ERA and career wins.
PERSONAL: Born Oct. 28, 1985, Katy Ann Henry is the daughter of Barry and the late Terri Henry. Her father competed in track and field at Eastern Oklahoma State College. Henry is majoring in English.
